Retrospective analysis of the effects of a highly standardized mixture of Berberis aristata, Silybum marianum, and monacolins K and KA in diabetic patients with dyslipidemia.

We explored the effects of a supplement called Berberol®K, which contains silybum marianum, on patients dealing with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) alongside diabetes and dyslipidemia.
In a retrospective study with 59 subjects, those who were treated showed notable improvements after six months, including reduced diarrhea symptoms.
The results suggest that this food supplement could be beneficial, especially for those who cannot tolerate standard treatments like statins.
